F1 in Schools Experience

For the past few Wednesdays, 8 pupils from my school made a short 5 min walk to River Valley High to participate in the F1 in Schools Experience. Through the workshop they learnt:

  •  Introduction to F1.
  • Appreciate F1 car design and aerodynamics concepts
  • Use isometric drawings to visualize a 3D F1 car design
  • Convert their design to technical drawing using computer aided software

The pupils then got to sand-finish a car manufactured for them, colour it and assemble the car. The workshop culminated with a race.

Though we did not win, the experience and pupils’ excitement was reward enough.

Here’s a short clip on what went down during race day… vroom!!
