Having freed up time to allow my pupils to enjoy Math by playing a Decimal Memory Game (and not having to worry about “catching up” with syllabus) is truly a great feeling. Through the game, pupils are also questioning one another on the concepts of decimal places. It was great to see pupils actually discussing and even “arguing” about the concepts they have learnt from the video.
I was also glad to know that majority of my pupils took to the videos very well. Clearly they were excited at this new style of learning. One even spotted a mistake in my video and duly pointed it out to me. Also, some pupils were not too sure of what to do with the worksheet. I guess I have to give more specific instructions in the video pertaining to what and how I would want them to fill up the worksheet.
